Shuttle Hiking the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Start hiking a short section of a long trail, the Mountains to Sea Trail at over 6,000' in boreal forest (see Clingman's Dome Rd. on map) on your way to covering over 12 miles while passing through all the different eco-zones of the Park. Much of this is ridgeline hiking, on a great trail to view wildlife, particularly in the fall. End at Elkmont Campground in Tennessee.
